Oy7-E-105124 October 31, 1924. To: Mr. Belnap cc Mr. Claude Johnson Mr. F.{Mr Friese} H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Royce Derby Works Committee From: Mr. Olley Re Proposal Sheet No.41 The prints and proposal sheet attached practically explain themselves. From the examination of car 69 JH we are satisfied that the arrangement of hollow clutch spigot referred to is preferable to the oil valve in the crankshaft extension which gave trouble from leakage, and also to the undrilled clutch spigot which depends on periodical lubrication of the clutch by oil squirted well forward over the front end of the spring, in order to remain properly lubricated.
