C O P Y of letter from The Dunlop Rubber Co. Ltd., Aston Cross, Birmingham. Feb. 23rd 1914. Dear Sirs, We must apologise for delay in replying to your favor of the 11st inst, addressed to our Nottingham Depot, with regard to over size tyres. We are arranging to supply these in several sizes, but are not yet ready with deliveries. The main idea in regard to over size tyres is to enable the owner of a car with a certain size wheel, which he does not wish to go to the expense of rebuilding, to take the over size tyre suitable for his wheel. We, however, would respectfully point out that we do not consider it would be in the best interest of manufacturers to adopt over size tyres as a standard, because obviously you will not get the same strength in the over size as you have in the full tyre which is designed for the (over) [Stamp: RECEIVED W.M.
