DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}) FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer}) (At Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence.) C. to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} "SS{S. Smith}" STEERING. N. SCH. 2570. Y7430 ORIGINAL Perhaps we ought to keep between 15 & 16 leverage - turns from full lock to full lock 2.6, and the larger worm, about .9 pitch, 1.000 would give just under 16/1., - i.e. N. sch. 2570., not N. sch. 2574. I have not finally decided if mounting in the frame is the best possible. Apparently we cannot get it down without taking the engine out. If this is so, will you try to find a better scheme.
