PERFORMANCE TEST 26th NOVEMBER. Tests were carried out between a Limousine closed couple coupe car 12-G4 fitted with a standard engine having 5.25 compression ratio and a cut out, and 14-G4 Hooper cabriollet having Japan engine also with 5.25 compression ratio. It was found that the acceleration of 14-G4 was exactly equal to that of 12-G4 with the cut out open, with the exception of lowest speeds up to 40 miles an hour when 14-G4 shewed a slight advantage. The maximum speeds appeared to be almost exactly the same with an advantage slightly in favour of 14-G4. With the cut out on 12-G4 closed the difference between the cars was marked. Accelerating over 20 miles an hour 14-G4 led by 2 lengths at 50 miles an hour, and had some two miles an hour greater maximum speed.
