Dear Sir,

Your letter to Mr Edinson of Mansfield (your Ref H.S.2/LG) has been handed on to me by that gentleman and I thank you for your kind offer of your opinion therein made.
I am therefore enclosing my original sketch and also several photographs of the additional mechanism which I have protected.
The plate is 3 1/2 inches deep and with the rectangular tank represents the size of the speedometer casing.
The accuracy of the resultant movement is very good indeed as shewn by the scale even in one of the photographs.
The proportion of leverage as arranged would give readings for any set of gear ratios up to where low gear to high gear was as 4 is to 1 and of course every shade of difference between.
I shall be glad at your convenience
