HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 1020 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/R.7.10.37. We have now had sufficient endurance running on the Hall's Metal bearing P.III big-ends fitted into existing shells to indicate that this is exactly what is required to get over the present trouble of big-end failures. Will you, therefore, please put in hand a further 12 of these bearings which will be fitted as available to all experimental cars, and certain selected customers and trials cars. Attached is a copy of the note we have written to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} on the subject. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
