Dear Sirs, We wish to acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 17th. instant, addressed for the attention of Mr. Field, who we may mention is at present up in London, in attendance at the Motor Show. We are pleased to note that you approve of the RAD.13 material, and are proposing to standardise it. Your finding that the coefficient of friction is reduced immediately after grinding the face of the linings is in line with our own experience, but it will be quite restored and steady once the surface has become polished. The material should not be subjected to a temperature exceeding 650° Fahr., above which it is likely to deteriorate. We are very pleased to note that you are passing us an order for 12 linings to Part G.100583, also 12 discs to Part G.54241 and G.78524, all in RAD.13 quality, and immediately this order is to hand it will be given prompt attention.
