COPY. Bn.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} from By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. Wer. CHASSIS - STEERING COLUMN. RE PROPOSAL TO ABANDON "A" TYPE STEERING. I notice from your memo Bnl1/W71019, that it is now considered desirable to abandon "A" type steering only, thus leaving us with B, C, & D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} Under these conditions therefore I am assuming that there will be no change in design for the D type. It is clearly understood that in place of the old "A" type steering we shall use "B" type in conjunction with the longer chassis. There is one point which may probably interest you, namely, that it is proposed to make an extra charge where the long chassis is produced - this charge I estimate will be in the neighborhood of £12 to £15. Will you kindly arrange with EH, to issue a standard-isation sheet proposing to abandon the "A" steering and to use "B" type with long chassis in place of same. By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
