With reference to the proposal to try an aluminium head on the vacuum tank, and the various examples which were brought down here for Mr. Royce's inspection, he chose the one which we send under separate cover, and as we think you know, instructed that it should be tried.

As far as we can see it is not necessary for us to do anything, as this top seems to be interchangeable with the present top. Therefore we expect that you will get a complete fitting of this type from the autovac people and test it.
