Origin: To prevent noise transmission into car and dispense with rubber mounting and save cost.
Report of Experimental Test. Run 15,000 miles satisfactorily on 3-B-IV in France.
(Reversed bleed-through text): Could be brought on to production at the earliest date in 'B' series (with-out scrap).
