Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.
Derby.

Dear Sirs:

Referring to your letter of the 25th ult. In reply to the first paragraph of your letter we would mention that as far as we can trace only one instrument to your drawing D.75953 has been supplied. As regards the other items mentioned in your letter the position appears to be as follows -

(a) We can find no trace of an order to modify two Radiator Thermometers to DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}1360. If you will kindly quote the order number we will investigate this matter.

(b) The Thermometer and Oil Gauge D.75953 is probably the one you have requested against your order No.47111 and which is being made with a modified dial to your sketch EXS.14. We are now working on this instrument and hope to let you have it about the middle of next week.

(c) We cannot trace this requirement unless it is a dual instrument with special thermometer dial calibrated up to 105° but with only a plain red mark at that pressure. If we are right in this assumption we would inform you that the instrument was despatched to you on Monday last.

We sincerely hope that the information we have given above is satisfactory.

Assuring you of our best attention.

Yours faithfully
FOR S. SMITH & SONS (MOTOR ACCESSORIES) LIMITED.

TO AVOID DELAY all envelopes should be addressed to the firm.
