BENTLEY REAR AXLES.
While I have been away, six axles have been dealt with for noise. Out of these, four have been cured by attention to the nipping up of the thrust race and the setting of the pinion in relation to the crown wheel. A new car which did not answer to these settings was sent back to the Works. The other, a new ball race was fitted. I am obtaining full particulars of the work carried out which will be forwarded. I am sending you two washers taken out of cars attended to.
