For the attention of Mr. Riley.

Dear Sir,

Further to our letter dated 1st. January.

We now wish to order a further supply of special pistons. These are to be exactly as shewn on our drawing, EW.2170 (your drawing P.466), except that we now wish for this to have a flat top (no bump); but we wish for the crown to be .070 higher. You may be able to produce these from the existing dies and boxes.

Regarding the various special pistons which you have in hand at the present time, the following is their order of importance from our point of view :-

(1) P.466 Flat top .070 higher.

(2) High Crown pistons (referred to in our previous letter as having extra metal on the crown).

(3) Deleted Scraper ring.

(4) P.L. 78 (75 m/m).

(5) Lightened EW.2115.

The latter was being considered by Mr. Brooks, and he was to submit a print of his suggestions.
