To W/S from Ha/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X140 Ha/RmL/LG23.12.27. German device We regret that we have retained the specification of this differential so long. The device is an arrangement for allowing limited movement of the differential so that the car will not get stuck unless both driving wheels are spinning. While we consider that such a device would be worth while on a military vehicle, we do not think the additional complication is justifiable on our cars at the moment.
