GRNM/7. 21st April, 1941. [Handwritten note] New Frazer Nash file 1064 W.A.Rowbotham, Esq. Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd. D E R B Y. Dear Rowbotham, Re: B.M.W.Car. I have done a deal with my two B.M.W. cars, exchanging them for a later type and my two cars have been passed over to the firm of Fraser-Nash. I spoke to the Managing Director, Mr. Aldington, today and told him you might want the type 320 on which I had previously put a figure of £325. He says they are now in active negotiation with a customer on a basis of £375-£385, but this deal entails taking a car in part payment on which they may lose a little but they would expect to net certainly £350. If therefore you want this car (and I think you ought to have it) you will have I think to give £350 but I don't suppose that would worry you as that is below its present price and certainly below what it will be worth in, say, another six months time. If you are going to collect it I think you ought to ring up Mr. Aldington at Hounslow 0011 and make sure that they still have it. If I were you I would hurry up and get it and either the firm or some individual will have a lot of fun and pleasure out of it. Yours sincerely, G.R.N.Minchin | ||
