We have now instructed pattern work to proceed and all the necessary new details for this conversion, namely, it should be noted that the T.H.Crankcase and Cylinder Block, also the Cyl.Head have been proceeding for some little time. EB.4605 Distributor Housing. EB.4646 Outlet Connection EB.4566 Induction Pipe. EB.4713/4 Exhaust Manifolds. B.80.No.1. This engine has just been re-assembled after 50 hours endurance running and is now ready for test, it is fitted with the intermediate stage of Cylinder head EX.S.1383. B.80.No.2. Fitted in 29.G.VI. B.80.No.3. On test for Development running. B.80.No.4. At present on test bed being finalled for fitment to 3.B.50 in connection with 15,000 miles trials. B.80.No.5. This is a new unit, for which specification has bee issued in HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/SC.1/BA. 5.4.39, it should be noted that the pattern of the B.80. top half will require to be modified to produce new units. Below is a brief summary of the main items. (a) EB.4669 T.H.Crankcase and Cylinder. (b) EB.4695 Crankshaft. (c) Wraith III type Crankshaft Damper to SCD.1043. (d) EB.3916 Pistons - Aerolite.
