X7430 To BJ. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG22. 5. 28. 14-EX CAR. X7430 X7770 Replying to BJ2/E22.5.28. The remark we wish to make as regards the steering is that we do not know how to make a steering which will be free from faults over the whole range of conditions, therefore our steering must be a compromise. I could take you on 14-EX car and demonstrate how bad that steering can be - I could also convince you in another way, that it is the best steering we have ever fitted to a R-R car. PN.{Mr Northey} is prejudiced against a low geared steering; We do not agree that the car is dangerous at high speeds. The other features fitted to this car are :- (1) Side by side rear brakes. (2) Modified change speed and brake levers. (3) New type starter, similar to what is proposed for SS.{S. Smith} car. (4) Seating position as proposed for G2B. series. (5) Cast dash as proposed for G2B. series. (6) Rubber engine mounting, similar to F2B. series. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
