Instructions for fitting a .720 lead steering column in place of the existing .900 lead steering column on a 12-EX Chassis.

FITTING .720 LEAD STEERING IN PLACE OF EXISTING .900 LEAD. In accordance with instructions in R1/M.1.5.28, we give below particulars for fitting a .720 Lead Steering Column to this chassis. Kindly produce one complete Steering Column "D" Type to L.O.P. F.78911 with the following exceptions.- F.78892 Steering Column Support Bracket. 1 off per chassis. F.78893 Cap for Support Bracket. 1 off per chassis. F.78894 Steering Column Bkt:on Dash(Upper Half) 1 off per chassis. F.78895 Steering Column Bkt:on Dash(Lower Half) 1 off per chassis. F.78849 Stud for Support Bracket. 2 off per chassis. F.78842-S Packing for Steering Column Support Bkt: 1 off per chassis. F.78910 Pendulum Lever "D" Type. 1 off per chassis. In place of the above parts herewith please receive one Blue Print of each of the following:- F.78961 Steering Column Support Bracket. 1 off per chassis. F.78962 Cap for Stg:Column. 1 off per chassis. F.78963 Support Plate for Steering Column. 1 off per chassis. F.78965-S Packing for Steering Column Support Bracket. 1 off per chassis F.78971 Steering Column Bkt:on Dash(Upper Half) 1 off per chassis. F.78972 Steering Column Bkt:on Dash(Lower Half) 1 off per chassis. Kindly produce one set and fit to the above chassis. The following parts are also required.- F.77668 Pendulum Lever "D" Type. 1 off per chassis F.77674 Ball End Pin. 1 off per chassis F.77675 Locating Washer for Ball Pin. 1 off per chassis F.77676 Feed Pipe for Pendulum Lever. 1 off per chassis K.{Mr Kilner} 311 .312 Bolt. 2 off per chassis Prints of which have previously been issued to you. The existing .900 Lead Steering Column will have to be dismantled complete. It should be noted that the existing drilling in the Dash will be suitable for the new Column. The dims: from Centre Line of Chassis to Centre Line of Column will now be 10.150 instead of 10.050. Kindly proceed in accordance with the above. BY/HEB.{H. Biraben} | ||
