Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd. Contd 2. 12.10.32. Gear in considerable quantities for a matter of two years, we have yet to hear of a case where adjustment has been required between the hemispheres and the track. There have been one or two cases where due to the settling down of the ball races a shim has been removed, but even here we have had very few examples of such. Presumably wear is bound to take place eventually between the hemispheres and the track, as suggested by you, but such wear would appear to be a very slow process, and one which therefore requires looking after only at long intervals. We trust that this letter, together with the enclosed booklet, will give you the information on these points which you require, but we are of course always at your service for any further detail. Yours faithfully, for ADAMANT ENGINEERING COMPANY LIMITED. Director. | ||
