We are duly in receipt of your favor of the 10th instant, reference as above, contents of which is of considerable interest to us. As you are aware we have no particulars of the type of steering mentioned by you as the Cadillac Steering, and it would be of great interest to us if you could send us these particulars, which, as you will remember, you could not lay your hands on at the time our representative was at your Works. As regards the adjustment of the Marles-Weller Gear, adjustment is provided in this gear in every direction, up and down movement of the inner column due to wear of the ball races being taken up by the removal of a shim between the bottom plate and the steering box, and movement between the follower assembly and the cam track is taken care of by the substituting of larger hemispheres in the follower. We are enclosing herewith a booklet which illustrates and describes the Marles-Weller Steering, and full particulars of these adjustments are given in this book.
