Attached please find copy of memo to PN{Mr Northey}, with reference to tools in kit - R14/G29.10.20.

We have from time to time improved the tool quipment, and I certainly think it is better than the average, but I think the tools ought to be inspected by a tool expert belonging to the works, such as a tool room mechanic, and stamped not being up to the standard, but suitable for their purpose. One or two of them would be found to require modification.

Amongst other things that struck me is that the tommy bars used for the box keys are generally too thin, and the holes in the box keys could be bigger and the tommy bars slightly longer. Many of the keys, and especially the broached box keys are rather too close a fit, and cannot be used on the whole of the nuts on the chassis some of which will naturally vary a little in size.

You will remember that I suggested some time ago that only one oil syringe should be sent out, the second one not being necessary, as we have now the primer for putting petrol into the induction pipe.
