86341. PN.{Mr Northey}5/WT23.3.31. [illegible]..from PN.{Mr Northey} Copy to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} is most anxious to have available at W. as soon as possible any of the Company's cars in which booming troubles, front or back, or both are being experienced. The worst car in this respect is our demonstration 129-GN, but unfortunately this cannot be with Derby until next Tuesday in view of existing appointments. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} to-day has asked whether we could not possibly manage to arrange with you that your car should go to Derby at once where he considers it would not take much time to deal with satisfactorily with the drumming tendency which is in this case, manifest in front of the car only, whilst the rear is unusually free from the trouble. Would you please let me know as soon as possible whether you can fall in with this proposition so that the car can go on Wednesday morning to Derby, on which day we can have available for you GNS-2, Trials car, having Maythorn body, whilst your car is away. GNS-2 is a worse boomer than your own car and will go up to Derby directly yours returns. PN.{Mr Northey} RECEIVED 12 MAR 1931 Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} I will let you know directly I have been able to arrange for LHS{Lord Herbert Scott}'s car 112-GN to come to you.
