I should like to anticipate the results of the above tests, and suggest that we ask the Le Carbone people to make us up two sets of brushes, in the standard grade material, but with the bevel increased from 15º to 45º. It seems to me that the present bevel of 15º is not sufficient, and even if brushes with an increased bevel do not entirely solve the problem of brush noise, it must be a step in the right direction.
