Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr. Robotham.

Identification of Bentley Pumps.

All Bentley pumps are marked on the offside of the body, either GM1 or "H". "GM1" represents the standard arrived at on the 8th November last and incorporates the following:-

1. Non-inductance wound coil.

2. Bakelite valves.

3. No. 1 German diaphragm.

4. Stainless steel plugs and unions with aluminium washers.

5. S.U. standard valve cages less springs.

As regards the pumps marked "H", these are pumps that either you or London have sent to us for repair, rectification or modification, and incorporates the following:-

1. The "H" denotes that the coil is wound on a Hecla core. If the pump body is not so marked, new coils are fitted and the pump is then marked "H".
