For the attention of Mr. Dalrymple.

Dear Sirs,

We are returning to you the film type radiator which we have been testing on the bumping rig. A small water leak was noticed on the test rig. The radiator was taken off and put on water test, which revealed five leaks, three on the corners, one at the starting handle tunnel, and the fifth at the shutter control tunnel.

Unfortunately our radiator people had tried to repair the leaks before I knew what had happened. However, the position of the leaks is still indicated and possibly under water tests they will still be manifest.

We should be glad if you will examine the radiator and let us have your remarks. It appears from the position of the leaks that 'match-boxing' is taking place, and that the matrix frame is insufficiently strong to withstand it.

Yours faithfully,

For Rolls-Royce Ltd.
