Phantom III Water Pump.

With reference to the Complaints in respect to the Phantom III circulation under traffic conditions, we should like to have a test made of the water pump delivery on a chassis down to the lowest speeds. Personally I think there is nothing wrong with the pump although we could if necessary increase the pumping head at low speeds and introduce a restriction for limiting the circulation at high speed.

The trouble appears to me to be local, that is to say, the circulation in the neighbourhood of the thermometer pocket may fall away to zero.

It is quite possible that some of the cars on which this complaint has arisen may be fitted with defective cylinder heads. We should like to know what results you get with running the thermometer on the front end of the engine.
