Wien Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/STD Failure of Bentley Water Pump. Ref. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.12/AP.25.5.37. We send you herewith LeC.5705 which is a scheme providing a gauze cap on the pump inlet and held in position by the rubber hose connection with the object of preventing loose solder from the radiator entering the water pump. This can also be fitted to the 25/30 which is the same size. We are not able to make a scheme similar to Phantom III which had a gauze fitted to the radiator outlet because the Bentley outlet pipe is made in aluminium and the gauze cannot be sweated thereto.
