Questioning the necessity of oil type labels on engines, based on whether mixing recommended oils is harmful.

Arising out of a conversation which I understand you have had with Russell Sharp, I should be glad if you would confirm that there would be no harm in our leaving off the labels which we attach to the engines of chassis saying what type of oil is in the basechamber.

By 'harm' I mean that, if a man had an engine with Price's oil and topped up with Wakefield's or another of the recommended oils, would any harm be done?

If such the above is correct, I propose to give instructions for the labels to be left off.
