X4228 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY9-P28.12.22. RECEIVED DEC 28 1922 Mr Shelton. c.c. HPT/Mr Ellis. c.c. He. GOSHAWK 11. CARBURETTER. RE. WEIGHT OF FLOAT. It is agreed that it is necessary to increase the weight of the float by three drams. This increase of weight should be added in the form of a washer, which would be balanced about the axis of the float and would be on the bottom of the float when the float is in position. Will you kindly arrange to add the weight in question at once to all carburetters we are dealing with, as the setting of the front chamber needle is at the moment so high that the balanced weights are only just clear of the cover, as the carburetter is turned out. This means that the slightest amount of grinding in will bring the weights on to the cover and prevent the needle valve closing. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
