X5350 To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}3/BE. 14.10.25. RE 9.G.III REAR AXLE We have examined the New Departure Bearing which was fitted to the Pinion Thrust for 10,000 Miles Test and it was found to be in very good condition - No appreciable wear having taken place. Initial Float in Bearing .0045. Float on examination after Test. .006 The only means of checking the wear is to measure the float in Bearing and it will be seen that we have got an increase in float of .0015, so the wear in Bearing is practically negligible.
