Description of Parts. THRUST RACE FOR REAR AXLE BEVEL PINION.
Origin. To increase reliability.
Experimental Test Report.
We have had several cases of failure of the std. thrust races fitted to 20 HP. cars. The new proposal makes use of a New Departure type bearing of more robust proportions.
See report attached to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG13.10.25.
Road Test Report.
Run 11,000 miles on 9-G-111. Bearing found to be in excellent condition at the end of the test.
Action Box:
A Scrap and replace at all costs, including Chassis already delivered to customers.
B Scrap and replace on Chassis in works.
C Scrap present stock and replace on all Chassis not yet handed to test.
D Use existing stock Alteration effective on future Chassis
