Production of a replica 'Fort' non-skid tyre, questioning the decision as it seems to contradict previous efforts with Dunlop's to create a silent tread tyre.

Referring to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}6/LG2.11.28. I should be interested to know what type of non-skid is referred to in the first paragraph. With regard to asking them to produce a replica of the 'Fort' non-skid, at first sight, it seems to me that we should thereby be going back to the noisy tyres and I do not quite understand this when one remembers all the trouble we have been to for many months to persuade Dunlop's to produce a special tyre for us with a silent tread, but possibly there is something about the position which we have misunderstood. I should be glad to hear from ylu on the subject. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} | ||
