PHANTOM 111 - BATTERIES.

Would you kindly note that it has been agreed that we go ahead with the thin plate batteries for the above chassis. This decision has been arrived at after considerable discussion between E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}, Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} and this Department.

In regard to the Bentley and the 20/25, it has never been our intention to put this on production, as there were other factors by the thinning of the plate at stake, and for these chassis this issue is being treated purely experimental.

Please note that the only battery so far tested with thin plates is the Exide and until Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. can clear the P. & R.{Sir Henry Royce} we should confine our orders to the Exide Co.
