ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. INSTRUCTIONS. To E F C Order No AB. 34. Customer's No. X. 430 Nov. 1st 1921 X. 430 Comparison of Magneto Belt and Chain Drives. In comparing these drives, the lowest sparking speeds, for advance, central, and retard, on the 2 S.H. Bosch Z.R.6. Ed{J. L. Edwards} 19, were taken first with the leather belt and then with the chain. The spark gaps were set at 5.5 m.m. With Belt. (a) 85 rpm (b) 140 " (c) 200 " With Chain. (a) 68 rpm (b) 128 " (c) 175 " It will be seen that there is a distinct advantage with the chain. Signed C.F.P. This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
