FOR FILES. X4111 17.12.30. FURTHER REPORT ON STAYBRIGHT WHEEL TESTED ON BUMP CHASSIS. In addition to being bumped on the drums for 63 hours, it was then placed in the blocks which hold the chassis firm, for a further period of 24 hours 15 mins. This in itself is a severe test for any wheel to withstand. After dismantling the tyre, tube, and rubber rust band from the wheel, it was found to have the nipple of one spoke too finely fettled thus weakening it to such an extent that it was pulled apart from the spoke quite easily with the finger, nevertheless the spoke was in perfect condition.
