CHASSIS : HIGH TENSION WIRES.

With reference to your memo dated the 15th.instant in connection with the above, at the time we changed over to Helsby cable there was not sufficient evidence available to justify the scrapping of the maconite which might be held in stock at Depots, but in view of the information you have given to us we have issued an instruction to the Order Office and Repair Department that Depots should be supplied with Helsby cables as quickly as possible, that their existing stocks of maconite should be scrapped.
