26th. September,1936.

Messrs. Park Ward & Co.,

Willesden,
London, N.W.10.

Dear Sirs,

Re Experimental Body - 240.6.

Further to our E {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} /Ev. {Ivan Evernden - coachwork} 2/MN. of the 23rd. inst., and the visit of our Mr.Evernden to your Works on Thursday, the 24th. inst., we have pleasure in sending you herewith a plan view of the tank, Lec.5165 (Sheet 2) and a detail of the Dashboard, FH.607. showing the shape of the pot and the position of the scuttle isolation bolts.

We confirm our verbal arrangement that the body will be built of wood and aluminium and the constructional details will follow those enumerated in our book of "Recommendations to Coachbuilders" for Phantom III.

As weight is of vital importance we wish to use the Bentley size of pillars, rails, etc.

A complete specification of the coachwork will be sent to you in the course of a day or two. We also confirm that you will put in hand two dummy chassis or jigs.

Will you kindly let the writer know immediately the full size drawing is ready for inspection, and also inform him of any difficulties which you may encounter.

Yours faithfully,

For and on behalf of
ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.

Att:Lec.5165.
FH.607.
