Re Specification of Coachwork - Enclosed Limousine, 24.G.6 - Wraith II.
We send herewith a copy of the specification for the coachwork for the first Wraith II body, an Enclosed Limousine for chassis 24.G.6.
We would be glad if you would let us have your comments. At the same time we have sent a copy of this specification to Messrs. Park Ward & Co., and have asked them to give us their views.
Although we know that you normally have a 'C' steering for this type of body, we find this type of coachwork unsuitable for many of the purposes for which the car has to be used on test, and we have therefore used an 'E' steering coupled with the Park Ward rising division, in which case we get nearly the same amount of available body space although in any case we do not mind the extra seats being slightly less luxurious. The rear seat is in the same position as it would be with 'C' steering.
E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} has written to C. on this subject.
