Dear Sirs,

REAR SPRINGS OF PRINT F.7973.

We are in receipt of your favour of the 2nd. inst., respecting Rear Springs type F.7973, and replying to your paragraphs 1 and 2 we hope to comply with your wishes regarding the thickness of Main Plates, viz:-

Maximum thickness .453" and minimum .400"

Paragraph 3. As far as we can judge at present the number of plates given in your chart will be adhered to, but we are afraid that we cannot undertake to give any definite assurance that the overall depth will be the same as charted; we must have some latitude here, otherwise we could not always obtain the poundages. As you are aware, the rolling mills do not roll to dead measure.

Regarding prices, we will go into this question at the earliest possible moment.

Regarding Clips of the box pattern, as shewn on your Print, we will go into this question, and see what can be done, but of course, we shall not hold up Springs in the meantime.

Yours truly,

JONAS WOODHEAD & SONS LTD.,
