| HOTEL DE FRANCE, CHATEAUROUX. Indre. France. +300a GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}/3/JAB. 25th July 1935. To. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} From. G.W.H. E Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Copies sent S. S. I. SPECTRECodename for Phantom III. We have run into two troubles, Push rod breaking and the spokes of the 7. x 18 Dunlop Wheels. The Spokes which are breaking are the outer ones. Two in both rear wheels and at present one in the N.S. front. We telegraphed you this morning for new push rods. We have joined the broken one together for the time being, to keep the Engine running for another day. We shall have to hold up as the Cylinder joints are leaking. Fisher put gold size or the equivalent on the joint which I personally would not do, & we have had trouble with the oil leaks since. We shall also have to dismantle the front again as the rattle in the timing gear case is as bad as ever. G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} W. H.{Arthur M.
