[Main text in right column:]
Could not arrangements be made so that this silencer could not turn round and have keyway or steady pin fitted at its union to the front silencer.

SHORT SIDE LEVERS:- These seemed quite O.K. quite efficient and had sufficient leverage although one has still a long way to reach for the side brake lever in the "off" position. Mr Spinney says that the quadrant has to be moved round a little but I am afraid that if this is done the change gear lever will be against the seat.

BONNET BEADING :- Brass strips fitted . These strips are wearing badly and are nearly worn away in places, as per sketch maked heavy were worn badly, on the dashboard and bonnet they are also wearing slightly. Could not these be made as wide as the beading on the bonnet, also job should be fitted up so that there is no wear and tear on the hinges that is beading should be arranged so as to miss same. The hinges are now wearing badly and would have to be replaced to make a god job otherwise it means replacing the brass strips only. This job should be pushed along for standard as soon as ever possible, I consider it is pretty evident that our cars when running under such conditions as these wear the bonnet badly. Fixing of the strips for the bonnet clips are working satisfactorily.

RILEY WHEELS:- These do not seem to work any better than the Rudge Whitworth type. One was squeaking and had to be tightened up whilst I was on the car. Holgate also reports that they have to be dismantled, oiled, and screwed up occasionally.
