To get these reasonable in cost we must make as many as possible, preferably to the same size and model, but make we must, or give ourselves up to the failures in this line. (1) Our designs and material are not more costly than others, we suffer because our numbers are small compared with Delco etc. and our men and methods are not used to getting down to competitive prices. (2) It is now concluded that the only noise that is mysterious is due to valve vibration which has to be damped in all forms of valves.
