200a To. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} Levallois I/. 4.3.38. 6.B.IV.- BENTLEY. I have been delayed at Paris, as on the way into the Depot, I ran over an island in the middle of the road in avoiding a car on my right which pulled across unexpectedly. This has unfortunately bent the front axle and has damaged two road wheels. We have obtained a new axle from the Depot, and are building up the existing pieces on this, and hope to have the car running tonight. The Wraith is coming up this morning to take me back to Châteauroux, so that I can get up-to-date with the reports. The Bentley should return this evening or to-morrow to Châteauroux. We should be able to complete mileage by the end of next week as arranged. I am sorry about this damage. Do you wish it to be reported as an accident for Insurance purposes, or to be put down under the expenses of the job? The other car did not stop and we were therefore unable to obtain particulars. I have been right over the body insulation job with EWP.{Mr Punt} and will be sending you a full report. ----------------- Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M.
