SPECIFICATION OF COACHWORK. ENCLOSED LIMOUSINE - 30.G.VI. - WRAITH 80. Chassis. Wheelbase 11' 1". Wraith 80 made by adding 3" to centre of frame of B.50. Wheels - 7" x 16" steel pressed. One spare wheel on offside. Untarnishable finish. For all particulars see drawings supplied. Body. Enclosed Limousine, see FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}298. Shell Construction. Body shell to be constructed of wood and panelled in aluminium. Same pillar and rail sections to be used throughout as on 26-G.VI. Rear wheelarches to be of sheet steel. Rear seat squab board to be plated to arches and crossmember to take the load of the transverse stays to the body. All ironing to be carried out by sheet steel flitch plates. All contact faces of body joints to have greased paper inserts. Panelling. Alum 16.S.W.G. except in such places where it is considered possible to use 18.SWG. - Quirks at base and top of screen pillar. Front Wings. Shape as drawn, in SWG.16 alum. Rear Wings. Alum SWG.16. and attached by bolts to the rear wheelarch. Shape as drawn. Stone Shields. Latest approved pattern. Doors. To be as thin as on 26-G-VI. - Wilmot Breedon special locks. Front door hinged on centre pillar and rear door on rear pillar, by outside hinges with stainless steel pins. Rubber top and bottom stops to doors with latest approved check straps. Interior plate carrying window lift gear to be Alum.SWG.12. Front doors to be fitted with MeadMcLean ventilators. Glass - Lancegaye - 3/16" thick. All interior handles on lock spindle except the driver's door which should have remote control. Quick-lift handle to driver's window. | ||
