- 2 - Radiator - cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} upon the introduction of the steam valve. Expected that Experimental tests will be completed during the next month. Flywheel and Clutch. Complete section held up. Dependent upon introduction of reduced inertia flywheel or flexible back plate. Experimental expect to have a decision within a month. Change Gear and Brake Mechanism. New details issued this week to enable full headed bolts to be used on B. series. Propeller Shaft. Section held up 3.5.38. Twenty-four sets delivered to be used. Tests now in hand will govern future policy. Angular position of spring seat on axle tube may be altered on 25' chassis. Rear Axle. Driving flange modified to suit Hardy Spicer propeller shaft. Axle Tubes. Additional experience to be obtained with carbon steel axle tubes. Front Brake Equaliser. GW.926 Actuating Lever cancelled, replaced by GW.2063 which gives reduced front braking. New lever to be introduced on 1st. 24 chassis. Servo Motor Mechanism. GW.1024 Friction Lining Ferodo cancelled, replaced by GW.1958, Halo 3L. New Lining to be fitted to 1st. 24 chassis. Road Wheels. Hubs and Wheels. Modified cone angle to eliminate wheel knocks. 10° cone on hubs on 1st. 100 chassis. | ||
