X5661 EFC2/T30.8.27. To HY.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} from EFC. c. SFI/Mr. Brock 20 HP. DYNAMO. 28 SLOT ARMATURE (56 COIL) We have not issued a specification of production inspection and test for machines fitted with this armature, independently of that dated 18.10.26 for the 57 coil armature, but there is one point of variation which we inadvertently omitted to give you previously, and that refers to the (d) portion of Item (1) which, for this armature, should read - "Corresponding tips of the main brushes should on the average be exactly 14 commutator segments apart, and, at the same time, the distance of the trailing edge of the control brush from the leading edge of the main positive brush, should be on the average 16 1/2 segments."
