Dear Sirs,
With reference to your HRB/DAW of the 9th.inst.
The following are the particulars you require. We should like an instrument suitable for a 16 X 52 axle, with a flexible drive 5 ft. long.
Attached are drgs. of the gearbox end of the flexible drive as at present used - G.50050 and F.77619. A Smith wiper will be fitted with these instruments.
Speedometer Revs. .3511 of propeller shaft revs.
At 600 speedometer revs/min. car speeds are :-
17 X 52 axle ratio 33 m.p.h.
16 X 52 " " 31 m.p.h.
15 X 52 " " 29.3 m.p.h.
Road wheel revs/mile with present standard tyres 33 X 3.75 at 35 lbs/sq.in. pressure 625.
