Referring to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG27.1.28. and my conversation with you yesterday when I shewed you the Jaeger people's letter asking for permission to send a sample pair of instruments to Derby for inspection and test, they say they have now completely eliminated the noise and as mentioned in my former memo, they have been standardised by numerous firms including Bentley's. There is also the price question which is important from the point of view that it is a very much less expensive instrument than the A.T. I understand you are quite agreeable to test these and I am therefore asking their Manager, Mr. H.R. Buckland, to send you two instruments, but to first communicate with you in order to obtain correct information in regard to gearing, etc., Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} | ||
