Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd.,
DERBY.

For the attention of Mr.Robotham.

Dear Mr.Robotham,

With reference to our telephonic conversation of this morning I am informed that the new Clevite material for clutch facings is not in production yet and cannot be repeated with any certainty and the reason for sending this to you was more or less for experimental purposes to see exactly what result you obtain from the new type and I would suggest that you carry out experiments before making any step in this direction.

We therefore assume that your order for the complete disc still stands and we hope to supply this to you in the near future.

With reference to the Dynamo and Control Box that you kindly consented to loan me, I shall be pleased if you will send these together with the Clutch Discs to these Works whereupon I shall be pleased to give you any information on this subject, in confidence.

Yours sincerely,

[Signature: Vandervell]
