In the 'Motor' of January 26th you probably noticed that there was a description of the 25/30 RR and the new 25 Packard 6-cylinder.

It was a little unfortunate that both were in the same issue, because the tabulated data can so easily be compared and are not highly flattering to the RR.

The engine sizes are not strictly comparable because the RR is 4257 and the Packard 3500 but the unladen weight difference is of course very great, the RR being 39 1/2 cwt and the Packard 30 1/2.

I am not mentioning this with any view to its being possible to alter the 25/30 but more because of Wraith, the weight of which in Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}9/R28.1.37 is given as very nearly 40 cwt.

I hope in the study of economies it will also be possible to get some weight reduction.
